Cost Negotiation + Binding Factory Agreements
At this stage, we also collaborate directly with the factory team to confirm your product design files are accurate and production-ready. Together, we explore opportunities to reduce costs by leveraging the factory’s expertise, such as identifying potential material substitutions or minor design adjustments, without compromising quality.
Deliverables Include:
• Signed non-disclosure agreements, enforceable in the factory’s country of origin
• Negotiation of materials, labor, total cost, and minimum order quantities
•Legally binding factory agreement covering cost, timelines, and quality standards
Factory Engineering Refinement + Mold Tooling
Engineering Refinement & Mold Creation: During product refinement and mold creation, we take the feedback received from the factory during the agreement stage and, in collaboration with you, make any necessary changes. Design and engineering files are updated accordingly. While most adjustments are minor, they often deliver significant value by maximizing manufacturing efficiency and reducing overall production costs.
For soft goods, custom molds are typically not required. However, for all custom hard goods, molds and tooling are essential to bring your product to life. If needed, this process begins at this stage. The factory fine-tunes your product design files while mold tooling is developed in parallel, ensuring production can begin as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Deliverables Include:
• Design and engineering refinements at the factory level
• Final approved design and engineering adjustment files
• Mold/Tooling creation, if required
Sampling + Quality Control Standards
Once your final sample is approved, the retainer phase officially concludes, and you are ready to place your first full production order.
Deliverables Include:
• Two or more sample iterations completed
• Quality control standards fully established
• Final production-ready “golden sample” approved
Production + Quality Assurance
